The Hobbit (relaxed performance)

This is a relaxed performance of JRR Tolkien’s “The Hobbit”, produced by Hallam 89 Theatre Club for members of the Sheffield Parent Carer Forum. The dialogue has been shortened and simplified to make the play easier to understand. There will be no flashing lights or loud noises, and it will not be completely dark. Children are welcome to make noises or leave the theatre (accompanied by an adult) if they need a break – everyone understands!

The venue is fully wheelchair accessible and has a disabled toilet, but no changing bed.

After the performance, children will get a small Easter Egg. Families are invited to enjoy free refreshments and mingle with the actors (in costume). A great opportunity to socialise with other families and take photos!

Please note: Some of the actors will be wearing masks, which some children may find scary. The play features a dragon, which will be simulated using sounds, red light and a smoke machine. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.

Cost: £2 per person
