We know that for most parents, and for parents of disabled children in particular, time is in short supply. Yet it is vital that we join together, pool our knowledge and exert real influence, instead of fighting the same battles in isolation.
The easiest way of supporting us is by becoming a member. Membership is free and entitles you to join our mailing lists to receive our twice-yearly newsletter, monthly email bulletins and event reminders by text.
Another easy way of making a contribution is by telling us about your experiences as a parent of a disabled child – the good, the bad, and the stuff that makes you want to bang your head against a wall! Phone us, email us, come to our events and meetings or take part in our consultations and tell us what issues you are facing. We need to know what you think in order to be able to represent your views!
If you can give a small amount of time on a regular basis, you may be interested in volunteering with us. Whether it’s filling envelopes, helping out at events, delivering training or representing parents at strategic groups – whatever your skills and background, you CAN make a difference!
