• Welcome to the Sheffield Parent Carer Forum

    • We are an independent group of parents and carers of children and young people (0-25) with special educational needs and disabilities. Our main aim is to ensure the needs of our children are met. We bring together parent carers from across Sheffield to provide mutual support, exchange information, and influence policy and practice. We have almost 3,000 members.

    • The Latest From Our Facebook

The DWP have recently been criticised after forcing tens of thousands of unpaid carers to pay back large sums following “honest mistakes”. Many unpaid carers have been sharing their stories and how the carer allowance overpayments have affected them. CarersUK are now inviting carers to share their experiences anonymously to be compiled and shared with the government. This is to campaign to prevent overpayments from building up to such high levels in the future. Take your survey and find out more about this campaign here: buff.ly/49Jpfxu ... See MoreSee Less
