Parenting a child with additional needs can be very stressful. It’s important (but far from easy) to take time out to look after yourself and recharge your batteries. We have received a two-year grant from the People’s Health Trust to offer monthly taster sessions for a range of stress-busting activities.
The idea is that parents will try out different activities and hopefully find something that they would like to do long term – maybe even with a group of other parents they’ve met at the session.
We are starting off with the following activities:
- Bears of Sheffield walk on 29 September, 10am-12pm
- Mindfulness on 20 October, 10am-11.30am
- Yoga on 24 November, 11am-12.30pm
- Christmas craft on 2 December, 12.30pm-2pm
