• Welcome to the Sheffield Parent Carer Forum

    • We are an independent group of parents and carers of children and young people (0-25) with special educational needs and disabilities. Our main aim is to ensure the needs of our children are met. We bring together parent carers from across Sheffield to provide mutual support, exchange information, and influence policy and practice. We have almost 3,000 members.

      THIS THURSDAY!!! FOCUS GROUP: Transitioning from primary to secondary school!!Is your child moving from primary to secondary school in September? This meeting is a chance to talk through your hopes and fears and get ideas, strategies and resources to support your child’s transition.   • Information session: Sensory needs and behaviours that challenge

    • Does your child or young person struggle with sensory processing? Do they display behaviours that can be challenging?

      Come along to our information session to explore strategies that could help, and meet our Peer Support Workers and other parents/carers. With plenty of time for discussion and questions.

    • This information session will be delivered by a member of our Peer Support Team. It will consist of a presentation on neurodiversity and anxiety, followed by plenty of time for discussion and peer support around any issues on this subject that parent carers would like help with.
