• Welcome to the Sheffield Parent Carer Forum

    • We are an independent group of parents and carers of children and young people (0-25) with special educational needs and disabilities. Our main aim is to ensure the needs of our children are met. We bring together parent carers from across Sheffield to provide mutual support, exchange information, and influence policy and practice. We have over 2,200 members.

  • Free art session for disabled children

    • Topic of this session: make your own wooden mobile!

We have teamed up with Ignite Imaginations to offer free weekly art sessions for disabled children throughout the summer holidays on the theme of “What makes Me, Me?” Children will use a variety of creative activities to explore and celebrate their identities, backgrounds, and the things that make them unique.

Aimed at disabled children aged approximately 7-11 years. Older children who enjoy “younger” activities and non-disabled siblings are welcome, too! Sessions will be led by artists with experience of working with children with additional needs. We encourage families to sign up for multiple sessions. Parents must stay throughout the session. Booking essential.
