• Welcome to the Sheffield Parent Carer Forum

    • We are an independent group of parents and carers of children and young people (0-25) with special educational needs and disabilities. Our main aim is to ensure the needs of our children are met. We bring together parent carers from across Sheffield to provide mutual support, exchange information, and influence policy and practice. We have over 2,200 members.

  • Coffee morning with Autism Team consultations

    • This is a virtual coffee morning on Zoom, for parents of children and young people with any kind of additional needs. Pop in for a few minutes, or stay for the whole session. To join the general discussion, simply click on this link once the session has started. You do NOT need to book for this.

Alongside the general meeting, we are offering eight 30-minute consultations with a worker from the Autism Team. This team supports mainstream schools to meet the needs of pupils with autism and related conditions. The consultations will take place in a private “breakout room”, and must be pre-booked; to do that, go to the booking form and click on “Register”.

  • Introduction to Zoom meetings

    • Would you like to take part in virtual meetings, but don’t feel confident about using the technology?

We can help! This session will allow you to try Zoom in a safe and supportive environment.

Please book your place. We’ll then email you instructions on how to set up a Zoom account and join the meeting. During the session, we’ll show you how to turn your audio and video on and off, use the chat function, join a breakout room, raise a hand and change your name. We’ll also do our best to answer any questions you may have.
