    • Are you a dad or male carer of a child or young person with additional needs? Do you enjoy a cuppa or a game of snooker? Come and join a group of like-minded men to chat, play pool, or simply enjoy a cup of tea in good company – you’re welcome here. We don’t judge – we support and understand. No diagnosis required.   • Information session: Introduction to demand avoidance (20 March)

    • Are you worried about your child’s behaviour? Come along to learn more about what a demand-avoidant profile is and the effect it can have on children. We will  signpost you to support and resources that can help.

  • Information session: Neurodivergence and eating (26 March)

    • Are you finding mealtimes difficult? Do you feel that your child or young person has a restricted diet and would like some support on how to help them widen their food choices? This session will help to improve knowledge and confidence around neurodivergence and food/eating issues and introduce strategies to try at home.

    • Today sees the publication of the Government’s schools whitepaper, Every Child Achieving and Thriving and the opportunity for families, Parent Carer Forums (PCFs) and stakeholders to comment directly on the proposals. We understand that some families may feel anxious about what the published proposals might mean for them and children and young people with SEND. This article outlines what the white paper is, what happens next and what it means for families right now.
