• Nexus Multi-Academy Trust has opened Enterprise Works, a new post-14 provision with a focus on employment skills for young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

  Enterprise Works is based in the building formerly known as The Source next to Meadowhall and will be attended by around 140 young people from three local special schools – Bents Green, Talbot and Kenwood Academy.

  Alongside their usual curriculum offer, students will be able to develop skills in areas such as catering, construction, e-sports and horticulture, and access work placements with local employers. A public-facing café is due to open later in the autumn term, offering work placements and internships for students in partnership with local catering start-up, Not Just Pink Custard.
