Sheffield City Council has commissioned a series of two-day behaviour management workshops for parents of disabled children and young people.
The workshop will consider such issues as:
• Understanding aggression
• Routes of aggression
• Diversion, diffusion and de-escalation
• How Feelings Drive Behaviours
• Personal Safety
The workshops will be delivered by Dean Cotton who has delivered workshops for a variety of people and settings across the country, including parents, carers and professionals.
The workshops currently available will be aimed at specific age groups (see below). Please ensure that you book onto the workshop that will give you the most relevant information and strategies for your child or children. Please note you will need to be able to attend both days of the workshop.
19th & 20th January Pre-school to primary school
22nd & 23rd January Secondary school up to 18 years
27th & 28th January Secondary School up to 18 years
29th and 30th January Secondary school up to 18 years
25th &26th of March Pre-school to primary school
Venue: St Marys Church and Conference Centre, Bramall Lane, Sheffield S2 4QZ
Time: 9.30am to 2.30pm
Tea and coffee will be available. Lunch is not provided, but there is a café on site or you are welcome to bring along a packed lunch.

If you book a place then find that you are unable to attend, please contact them as soon as possible so that they can offer the place to another parent carer.
