Recruiting now: Young Inspectors

22nd June 2012

  • The Children’s Involvement Team at Sheffield City Council is looking to recruit disabled and non-disabled young people as “Young Inspectors” to mystery shop activities, rate them and give recommendations on how they could be improved.

They are looking for young people who are currently in Years 8, 9 or 10 and who have some free time after school and during holidays.

When a young disabled person is selected to become a Young Inspector, a member of the team will visit them and their family at home and complete a One-Page profile, to learn about the young person and their support needs. The team intends to maintain an ongoing close relationship and dialogue with families. They point out that they have extensive experience of working with disabled children and young people.
