SEND green paper published

31st March 2022

  • The government has published a green paper on the future of the special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and alternative provision system.

A green paper is a discussion document. It is usually published as a first step towards making changes to the law.

You can read the proposals here (be warned, it’s over 100 pages long!).

And you can respond to the consultation here.

We have been working with Sheffield Hallam University to set up focus groups where parents will be able to give their views on the proposals without having to spend hours reading through documents. The groups will be held online and in person, at different times of day, during May and June 2022. More information
