FREE LUNCH provided! (booking essential)From September 2014, the special educational needs (SEN) system will undergo the biggest overhaul in 30 years. The reforms will affect ALL youngsters with additional needs – wherever they are educated, and whether they have a statement of SEN or not.

Get an overview. Speakers from the Department for Education and Sheffield City Council will provide an up-to-the-minute account of the government’s reform plans and their local implementation. (10am-11.20am)
Start preparing. Join us for a range of interesting workshops that will help you get to grips with the key concepts of the SEN reforms: the tools and principles of person-centred planning, the all-important concept of “outcomes”, and the legal rights of parents, children and young people in the new system. (11.30am-12.30pm & 1.15-2.15pm)
